The Age of Arcana
Humans were chosen by the land to be its protector. To solidify this choice the royal families of the humans were imbued with mana infused blood, making them inherently magical and tied to the land. It is not known how these family bloodlines were created but the magic in their blood gives them magical abilities that other humans do not. There are three blooded families, all with a shared connection to the land but different abilities. Because blooded humans are inherently magical, they cannot be Iltherian knights and cannot be resurrected by any means if they are killed by a veridium blade.
The Lynnvander family ruled Krymaris for centuries before the Age of Iltheria and the destruction of much of the mana of the land. Everyone throughout Imaria knows of the family and it is rumored that two brothers of the bloodline helped in the destruction of the Iltherian Empire.
Humans with Lynnvander blood are majestic and strong. They are leaders of the land and inpire courage and hope in hearts of the people. Powered by the light of the everlasting moons, this bloodline defends all that is pure, good, and just, even at the cost of their own lives.
The southern region of Krymaris is renowned for its scorching desert, gusty heat winds, and warm southern seas. The royal family that stood to defend the south was the Khenbian bloodline. Being the last kingdom to fall to the Iltherian Empire, the few surviving Khenbians have scattered across Imaria. The bloodline’s last known princess ventured north, never to be seen again.
Khenbians are swift, traditional, and sensible. They have become accustomed to the harsh heat of the southern deserts. They are filled with wanderlust that is not found in the other bloodlines, often leaving their homes for adventure and renown.
The Isle of Gurne was the farthest west the Iltherian army reached until a handful of blooded humans shipwrecked on its shores. Since then, Iltherian knights have sent dozens of ships to the continent of Thalagrant, presumably destroying all that they came across. A handful of hunters and a few blooded tribal leaders are assumed to be all that is left of the bloodline.
Ansalebin are tribal by nature. They love the tune of nature and the elements of natural mana. They interact in peaceful atmospheres much like the surface elves and their inherent bond with nature gives them great survival skills. Members of this hardy bloodline are sailors by trade are most at home near water.
The shoreline in the middle region of Krymaris boasts the Vanuschel bloodline. It is thought that the bloodline was completely wiped out by the Iltherians and their former home became a stronghold for the orcs of the area. Recent rumors suggest that the bloodline did not die out and a single survivor started to revive the bloodline. A rare recovery, the bloodline grew from the spawn of the orc tribesthat inhabited the once royal home. The human bloodline adopted some of the orcish features in appearance without any of the beneficial and hindering traits.
The Vanduschel bloodline is recovering from being on the extinction. Since every living member was killed, they were reborn from the land without a lineage to follow, creating their own traditions and histories. They are almost Half-Orc in some respects, grown differently than humans. As such, they are strong in a fight and has special resistances to illusions.
